San Sebastián
San Sebastián, known as 'El Pepino', is a mountain town southeast of Aguadilla, about 35 minutes away. It is the place to go for waterfalls, cool green hills and Puerto Rican countryside food. Paths to the falls are steep and slippery, and rivers rise quickly after rain.

Gozalandia
A popular swimming hole with a waterfall about 60 feet high, natural pools, a rope swing and rocks for jumping.
Tip: Parking costs about 10 dollars. The path down is steep and the rocks are very slippery; avoid it after heavy rain, when the river can rise fast.

Salto Collazo
A roadside waterfall on PR-111 between San Sebastián and Lares. You can see the upper falls from the bridge, and a short path leads down to the pool.
Tip: Parking is only along the road. The lower falls need a steep, slippery scramble, so most visitors stay at the upper pool.

Lago Guajataca
A reservoir shared with Quebradillas and Isabela, used for boating and freshwater fishing (peacock and largemouth bass). The wildlife refuge on its shore has gazebos, bathrooms and a boat ramp.
Tip: The dam was damaged by Hurricane María in 2017; check current access before planning activities on the water.
